Ce film explore un lien possible entre l’écriture hiéroglyphique et l’image photographique à travers une réflexion sur la lumière comme principe commun. Depuis son atelier, l’artiste entremêle la photographie et l’égyptologie dans son processus de création pour faire apparaître un monde de signes, d’images et de mémoire. Une conversation fragmentaire avec un égyptologue et la découverte d’une archive anonyme embarquent progressivement le spectateur dans une méditation sur l’apparition des images et la capacité de la photographie à fixer le temps, pour garantir une vie dans l’au-delà.

This film traces a possible connection between hieroglyphic writing and the photographic image, guided by light as a shared principle. From her studio, the artist interlaces photography and Egyptology, bringing into view a world of signs, images, and memory. Fragments of a conversation with an Egyptologist intertwine with an anonymous archive, gradually immersing the viewer in a meditation on the emergence of images. Between appearance and inscription, photography reveals its power to hold time still, ensuring a form of life in the afterlife.
